Movie Poster

Synopsis: The well known myth about when each and every child got hung on each night of October on a hill at the peak of the village. Forgotten by most people in the village, and confused when children go missing since the month has begun, and what was once a myth, is now a reality.

I looked at many other movie posters to give me a basic idea on ways to structure my poster, with the background photo, font, placing of the font, actors etc. There were many skills involved in making my movie poster. The main skill is photography, i took a series of photos, and selected the best one for my idea. This photo was then used as the background image for the poster. I used photoshop CS3 to crop the image, edited the colors and saturation, and adjusted the lighting/exposure the lighting. Using this program is also a special skill, Without a program like this no film poster would have an eye catching effect. However, not much editing was needed on the lighting as we used 3-point lighting during the photo taking. Teamwork is was important when taking the photos, because i was on the camera, it was my job to tell people what to do, what needs moving/changing to make the image look realistic. Before photography, we had to create small houses out of cardboard boxes, then we had to structure them, and place them in the correct position. After completed this, i then needed to select the right actors for the job, i thought that it would be a bit different to have some comedy actors, like Adam Sandler, and Johnny Knoxville, the genre of this film could then be called a comedy/horror?
